Vanguard and iShares remain the ETF industry heavyweights. Vanguard’s ETFs pulled in more than $24 billion in August alone, nearly quadruple iShares’ haul last month, Morningstar Direct data shows. Vanguard had $1.9 trillion in ETF assets as of last month, and iShares had $2.2 trillion.
Below is a look at how each firm’s ETFs are faring with net flows this year. For context: Vanguard garnered $231 billion in net flows during the same eight-month period in 2021, and iShares pulled in $120 billion.
