UBS says one of its former financial advisors has rejoined the firm after a stint at JPMorgan.

Stephen McCashin has rejoined the firm as private wealth advisor and managing director in the West Coast private wealth management market, affiliating with Los Angeles-based Mainsail Wealth Partners, an existing UBS wealth practice, according to UBS.

The Mainsail team, which includes private wealth advisors Drew Freides, Michael Kanigher, James Hulburd and Steven Westerman and financial advisors Brendan Carroll, Melanie Desma and Kate Freeman, has around $9.4 billion in client assets, UBS says.

McCashin started his financial services industry career with UBS in 2001, registering with the firm as a broker in San Francisco, according to BrokerCheck. In 2005, McCashin also registered as an investment advisor with UBS, according to his record. He served in a variety of roles, most recently as complex director of private wealth management in San Francisco, UBS says in a statement.

McCashin left UBS for JPMorgan, also in San Francisco, in 2018, according to BrokerCheck. He served as a regional director at JPMorgan, overseeing the San Francisco and Seattle offices, UBS says in the statement.
