Raymond James says a team of advisors has joined its independent channel from Edward Jones, where they had $180 million in client assets
Don Prescott, Tennelle Nickel and Marc Cooper have joined Raymond James Financial Services in Medford, Oregon.
They have joined SilverTree Wealth Partners within the Raymond James network. Their clients include business owners, corporate executives, healthcare professionals, retirees and families, according to Raymond James.
The team says Raymond James’ investment choices, technology and greater flexibility are among the reasons they chose to join the company.
“I’m really excited to offer the clients I serve a broader array of investments and to bring a team approach to serving the families of Southern Oregon. As part of this talented group at Raymond James, we now have the tools and people in place to help multiple generations of families, regardless of where they are located,” Prescott said in a statement about the move.
Prescott has been in the industry for 19 years, registered at Edward Jones the entire time before moving to Raymond James, according to his BrokerCheck record.
“Everyone is different. I care about getting to know my clients and prioritizing what’s important to them," Nickel said in a statement. "Raymond James shares those client-centric values and ensures we’re well-equipped to help with whatever their goals may be. Whether that’s planning for retirement, saving for a child's education or preparing for the unexpected.”
Nickel has been in the industry since 2020, when she registered with Edward Jones, her BrokerCheck record shows.
“The investment in technology is evident with Raymond James. I’m eager to incorporate the firm’s analytical tools, investment research and retirement planning software to better serve our clients,” Cooper said in a statement. “Also, the freedom to operate within our team framework gives us the ability to specialize in specific areas for a more efficient and effective practice.”
Cooper has been in the industry since 2017, when he registered with Edward Jones, his BrokerCheck record shows.
