UBS Private Wealth Management has added a six-person financial advisor team from Bernstein Private Wealth Management.

The team is led by managing directors Jay DeGeare and Matthew Gordon, who are both advisors.

Also part of the team are advisors Chase Williams, Joseph Jin and David Ochotorena as well as team associate Brooke Banning.

The Tampa, Fla.-based team services clients throughout Florida and in the greater Nashville, Tenn. area.

The team focuses on providing multigenerational wealth management services, including portfolio and investment strategies; corporate, individual and 401(k) retirement planning; liquidity events; succession planning, estate planning, wealth transfer planning and philanthropy, according to UBS.

At Bernstein, the team focused on ultra-high-net worth and HNW clients and businesses and had around $2 billion in client assets.

DeGeare and Williams both had their start in the industry with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., where the former was registered in 2000 and the latter in 2017, according to their BrokerCheck profiles.

Gordon started in the industry in 1998 when he registered with Neuberger Berman Management, Jin In 2013 at Noble Financial Capital Markets and Banning in 2017 at JPMorgan Securities.
