A trio of former Morgan Stanley brokers have launched their own RIA in Eatontown, N.J., according to TruClarity, the turnkey platform provider that assisted the team in the transition.
Co-founded by James Lloyd, Thomas Leidner and Lisa Heerwagen, QP Wealth Management offers wealth management and estate, business succession, tax and philanthropy planning, along with “private healthcare advisory,” to entrepreneurs and families throughout New Jersey and across the country, TruClarity says in a press release.
The three founders are joined by director of client services Whitney Struble, also from Morgan Stanley, according to the press release.
“Aligning with TruClarity has allowed us to turn our dream of owning our own independent wealth management firm into a reality as a team," Lloyd says in the press release.
The team previously managed $215 million at Morgan Stanley, according to FA magazine.
Lloyd began his financial services industry career in 1990 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2009, according to his BrokerCheck profile.
Leidner started his industry career at Morgan Stanley in 2009, according to BrokerCheck.
Heerwagen began working in the industry in 2006 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2010, according to her BrokerCheck profile.
