1. What information does Money-Media gather about the User?
a. For the free trial registrants, Money-Media collects the User's general information, including email address, company, title, information about where the User heard about the Money-Media site and the user name and password that the User will employ to access the site.
b. For Email this Article participants, Money-Media collects the sender's name, email address and comments, as well as the recipient's name and email address.
c. For ThinkTank, Money-Media collects the User’s name, email address, company and User’s relevant license registration information (as provided by the User), and User’s active reading time on accredited documents.
d. Cookies, Money-Media employs cookies to track site usage, and to verify a User's access information. This also enables the User to access the full articles without having to re-enter a user name and password each time. Users must have their browsers set to accept cookies to view Money-Media's material, including, but not limited to each site's home page.
e. Statistical, Money-Media monitors the IP addresses, or the location of a User’s computer on the Internet, along with the corresponding user name and password of each User to prevent unauthorized access to Money-Media's sites. Some of this information is used to help build statistical data on Money-Media site usage. Statistical data regarding access to each site is also gathered. This data may include frequency of use, duration of use, number of visits per page, and other information of an entirely impersonal nature. Generally, this type of information is not User specific; rather, it is anonymous.
2. What does Money-Media do with the information we gather about the user?
a. The information gathered by Money-Media is used for these main purposes:
i. to help Money-Media determine site usage, reader preferences and content for upcoming features;
ii. to help Money-Media better assist Users in need of technical support and account updates;
iii. to prohibit unauthorized access to Money-Media websites;
iv. to inform of changes and updates;
v. to monitor site usage for ThinkTank Continuing Education Credit;
vi. to provide a Publisher with a User’s information for marketing and analytics, (provided a User consents to such usage); and
vii. to provide a User with information about products and services from trusted partners, (provided a User consents to such usage).
3. Who else sees this info?
b. For ThinkTank Continuing Education Credit, User’s registration details and full credit hours earned on ThinkTank will be provided to the User’s CE credit provider(s) (e.g. CFP, CIMA).
c. Upon User Consent, a User’s name, email address and company to publishers for marketing and analytical purposes.
4. How can you opt out of this agreement?
a. At any time during your free trial or subscription, you have the option to terminate your service and opt out of the daily email that is sent to you.
