Ex-Oppenheimer FA “Reinvents” Himself with LPL Financial
Former Oppenheimer & Company advisor J.R. Frenzel, who reported serving $220 million in client assets at Oppenheimer, has joined LPL Financial and aligned with Good Life Companies, LPL says in a press release.
Good Life is a company that offers support and resources to advisors leveraging LPL Financial’s broker-dealer and corporate RIA platforms, according to the release.
“With the way the industry is changing, I knew I had to reinvent myself to help improve my ability to serve my clients,” Frenzel says in the press release.
The announcement of Frenzel’s move to LPL emphasizes his family life and active relationship with the community. Frenzel is a father who married his high school sweetheart, the release says. “He spends his weekdays working with clients and coaching youth sports, and his weekends playing guitar in church. He approaches every aspect of life with a commitment to help others,” according to the release.
“I am not just an advisor to my clients. I am a life coach, a handyman. I’m whatever I need to be to help them pursue their goals. Moving to the independent model has given me the freedom to do that and more,” Frenzel says.
Frenzel says Good Life helped him with office location and support to establish his RIA firm in Bridgeport, W. Va., while LPL provides him with the access to technology and resources he needs for his business.
“J.R. was seeking independence and the ability to control his destiny,” Conor Delaney, CEO of Good Life, says in the press release.
Delaney says Good Life presented Frenzel with the opportunity to outsource his non-revenue-generating activities, such as real estate, technology integration, training, back office support and marketing, with a turnkey office solution.
