Why This Merrill Lynch Alum and Family Office Pro is Headed to Rockefeller
Rockefeller Capital Management, headed by Greg Fleming, the former president of Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, has hired a former Merrill Lynch Wealth Management executive, according to a press release from Rockefeller.
Douglas Dubiel will join Rockefeller Wealth Management as a managing director and senior wealth management advisor in November and will open the company’s first office in Florida, Rockefeller says.
He has 27 years of experience in the wealth management industry and joins Rockefeller from the family office Goodrich, LLC, where he was chief operating officer, partner and trustee for the past four years and the company’s chief investment officer for nine years prior, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Before coming to Goodrich, Dubiel had been a senior vice president at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for 14 years, according to the press release.
At Rockefeller, Dubiel will report to Michael Outlaw, who will oversee the company’s growth strategy in the Eastern U.S., Rockefeller says.
“At Rockefeller, we are committed to investing in best-in-class talent and resources that will enhance our wealth management capabilities and ability to serve select clients across the country,” Fleming, the company’s president and CEO, says in the press release. “Doug’s extensive experience with family offices and in serving the unique needs of ultra high net worth clients make him ideally suited to join Rockefeller Capital Management.”
Fleming has also poached several executives from Morgan Stanley.
