Wells Fargo Employee Who Won the Lottery: “We Love that Company”
An 11-person group of Wells Fargo employees in San Jose, Calif., won what the California Lottery said is the state’s largest-ever lottery prize, the news service writes, citing a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be named.
But one of the winners has been identified as Roland Reyes, who said he works in the financial industry, Bloomberg writes.
A person by that name is indeed listed on BrokerCheck as working at Wells Fargo Clearing Services in San Jose, according to the new service, and is registered as a broker.
And Wells Fargo’s San Jose branch on Branham Ave. was closed Saturday, according to the Mercury News. The other employees identified Friday are Marigold Villaruz, Rita Sinha, Murad Kureshi, Nga Lam, My Nguyen, Solonachchige Dissanayake, Isabel Dominguez, Alejandra Villanueva, Alice Socorro and Joji Ziegele, according to the paper. Dissanayake is the only other in the group registered as a broker at Wells Fargo in San Jose, according to BrokerCheck.
Reyes tells the Associated Press that the group intends to stay at the company, according to Bloomberg.
“We love that company,” he tells the AP, according to Bloomberg. “We love what we’ve built there. We have a good time and want to stay together.”
