RBC Loses Advisor Team to Steward Partners

April 6, 2018

Steward Partners Global Advisory is opening its fourteenth office, in Houston, FA Magazine writes. Joining the launch are two veteran RBC Capital Markets advisors.

Randy Price and Matthew Price of the Price Group join Steward Partners, an employee-owned, full-service independent partnership associated with Raymond James Financial Services, according to FA Magazine. Randy Price has been in the industry since 1987 and with RBC since 1999, according to his BrokerCheck profile.

Matthew Price started his career with RBC in 2011, according to his BrokerCheck record.

Other team members of the Price Group include RBC alumni Tiffany Soliz, Daniel Bingham Jr. and Melissa Hamner, FA Magazine writes.

Steward Partners and Raymond James have been snatching advisors from rivals in recent months.

In February, Steward Partners picked up three Wells Fargo Advisors representatives collectively overseeing $170 million.

Last month, Raymond James Financial Services nabbed two Wells Fargo advisors managing more than $300 million. Since December, Raymond James Financial Services has also picked up several advisors managing over half a billion dollars at Merrill Lynch, while Raymond James & Associates, the firm’s traditional employee broker-dealer, nabbed several advisors from Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.
