Ex-LPL Execs Launch Advisor Transition and M&A Firm
A group of former LPL Financial recruiting executives have launched an independent consulting firm for advisor transitions, recruiting and mergers and acquisitions.
Bridgemark Strategies provides strategic planning, execution and advice for independent financial advisors and small to mid-size independent broker-dealers and RIA firms, according to a press release from the company.
Its services include finding potential partners, sourcing financing and assistance with structuring M&As, Bridgemark says.
The firm is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., and will have an office in Boston.
Bridgemark was created by Jeff Nash, CEO of Nash Consulting Group, who will now serve as Bridgemark’s CEO; James Sorey, former head of recruiting for Lincoln Financial Network in Philadelphia, who will now head Bridgemark’s executive recruiting unit; and Chris DeFrank, former senior vice president for business development at LPL, who will be Bridgemark’s co-managing director. Nash previously served as senior vice president in business development, business consulting and advisor transitions at LPL, while Sorey was formerly senior vice president and national sales manager in LPL’s business development arm, Bridgemark says.
“Gone are the days when a so-called ’recruiter’ working under a simple transactional model could support the delivery of an effective solution set for advisor transitions, home office executive recruiting or M&A support,” Nash says in the press release.“Today’s industry environment demands that third party consultancies adopt a more strategic and longer-term approach to how they support business and talent transitions of all kinds.”
The company has also hired Victoria Printz and Sean McMaster as vice presidents for advisor consulting, according to the press release. Both Printz and McMaster were previously senior recruiters at LPL, Bridgemark says.
