Janney’s Private Client Group Attracts $2.2B in Q3
Janney Montgomery Scott saw substantial growth in its Private Client Group in the third quarter of 2017, recruiting 23 financial advisors and opening up two new branches, according to a press release from the firm.
The advisors who joined Janney collectively managed more than $2.2 billion, the firm says. Among the hires were: Frank Amigo, Victor Fernandez, Jeffrey Jackson and Fady Maghak from Raymond James; Sandra Cummings, Brendan Flaherty, Evan Gilchrest, John Hardiman, William Lepping, Christopher MacPherson and James Poliner from Merrill Lynch; Henry Faragalli from RBC Capital Markets; LJ Knoll from Edward Jones; Christopher Peters, Kim Richardson, Jamie Smith, Paul Sullivan and Chris Walker from Wells Fargo; Tracey Schusterman from UBS and Christopher Walkley from Morgan Stanley, according to BrokerCheck.
Janney also brought on 12 account executives and private client assistants and opened new offices in Franklin, Tenn., and Miami during the third quarter, according to the press release.
Year to date, Janney has recruited 45 financial advisors to the private client unit, according to the press release. Its reps overall managed $73.5 billion as of the end of September, the firm says.
